Sunny Deol will play Hanuman, the monkey-god who becomes Ram’s most ardent devotee and ally. Kajal Aggarwal plays Mandodari, Ravana’s queen, and Rakul Preet Singh portrays Shurpanakha, the demoness whose actions trigger the central conflict.

The casting of Yash, who commands a massive fan following in the Kannada-language film industry, is seen as a strategic move to broaden the film’s appeal across India’s fragmented regional markets.
